Frequently Asked Questions

  • Love it! Contact me for a FREE 15-minute phone or video consultation. You can ask questions and discuss your needs. If we are a good match, I will send you additonal information and electronic paperwork to get you started.

  • Unfortunately no, due to counseling licensure laws I can only counsel clients who are physically in Pennsylvania during the time of our sessions. Additionally, any counselor looking to be supervised by me, must be working toward Pennsylvania licensure requirements.

  • No, I don't prescribe medication but I can work alongside your prescribing doctor such as a PCP or Psychiatrist to support your treatment.

  • We will meet through a secure/HIPAA Compliant telehealth platform. You will need a quite and private space and an electronic device with a camera, microphone and internet connection.

    • Privacy and Confidentiality: Paying out of pocket keeps your therapy fully private. Unlike using insurance, there’s no need to share session details, diagnoses, or progress updates, so your information stays completely confidential.

    • No Diagnosis Needed: Insurance usually requires a mental health diagnosis to cover sessions. With self-pay, you don’t need a diagnosis, making therapy accessible even if you’re just seeking personal growth or support.

    • More Flexibility: Self-pay gives you control over your therapy. We can focus on what works best for you without worrying about insurance restrictions on the number of sessions or the types of techniques we use.

    • Reimbursement Options: If your insurance offers out-of-network coverage, I can provide a Superbill (a receipt for your payments) that you can submit for possible partial reimbursement. Please note, a mental health diagnosis is required for this option. To learn more about your rights and cost transparency, visit the No Surprises Act.

  • It’s an approach to wellness that focuses on the mind-body-spirit connection and looks at all aspects of a person’s life—emotional, mental, physical, social, and spiritual. Rather than focusing only on symptoms or diagnoses, it considers how everything is connected. The idea is that mental health is part of your overall well-being, not separate from it.

  • A closed support group is where the same participants attend each session, creating a consistent and confidential environment. Once the group begins, no new members are able to join. Closed groups help foster deeper connections and trust among participants as they work through shared experiences together.
